Ordering
How do I register for Sales Tax Exemption – University, Government, etc. ?
Claim your sales tax exemption by simply sending your completed sales tax exemption form to [email protected]
When checking out, check the box “I want to claim tax exemption” under Billing information (after shipping option is selected) and tax exemption will be applied to your order (see image below).
Once our order is submitted, you are required to email us your tax exemption form. Orders that request sales tax exemption and fail to send us completed forms are subject to cancelation.


Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Yes, we do accept Purchase Orders from most universities and government institutions!
You can submit a Purchase Order through our website or by email. Either way, you will need to send your completed Purchase Order to [email protected] in order to process. Purchase Orders that are not sent to [email protected] will not be processed.
We do reserve the right to refuse purchase orders on a case by case basis.
What is the process to enter a Purchase Order?
We accept Purchase Orders via our website and through emailing [email protected].
Submitting Purchase Order via website (most streamline and accurate option, fastest processing time and less likely to result in product availabity delays):
- Add products to your cart as you normally would. Proceed to the checkout.
- Input your shipping and billing information.
- Under “Payment Method” choose “Purchase Order” (image below) and fill in the required information.
- Check the Terms and Conditions agreement box and click “Place Order”
- Send your approved Purchase Order PDF to [email protected]. ***If you fail to submit your formal Purchase Order via email, you risk your order being canceled.
- We will follow up with a confirmation email and a formal Invoice. The formal Invoice will include payment information and Net 30 Terms.


Submitting Purchase Order via email (longer processing time):
- Send your Purchase Order PDF to [email protected].
- After processing your Purchase Order, we will email you a confirmation with an Invoice. The formal Invoice will include payment information and Net 30 Terms.
What does it mean when a product is backordered?
When a product is “Available on backorder” it is temporarily out of stock but still available to order. Typically timelines for when items will return are provided on their product page. We will ship your order once the backordered items become available.
Note: We do not partially ship orders that include backordered items. Entire orders will be shipped once backordered items arrive. If you would like to receive in-stock items immediately, we suggest you make separate orders or reach out at [email protected].
What does it mean when a product is on pre-order?
Items that are on pre-order are new products that will be released soon. Timeline for release are provided on the product page. We will ship your order once the pre-order items become available.
What payment methods do you accept?
Most major credit cards and PayPal. For Purchase Orders we accept payment through check or wire transfers as well. If additional payment methods please contact [email protected].
Can I cancel my order?
If for some reason you need to cancel an order, please contact [email protected] as early as possible.
My order is missing an item. What can I do?
If you notice an item is missing from your order, please contact [email protected].
Items in my order arrived damaged. What do I do?
Sometimes our packages get knocked around more than we would like before they get to you. If your order arrives with damaged or broken items, please contact us at [email protected] with your order number and a photo of the damage.
Returns and Exchanges
How do I return or exchange an item?
If anything in your order isn’t as expected, got damaged in transit, or doesn’t fit properly, email us at [email protected] and our team will be in touch. We will handle issues on a case by case basis. Please reference our Refund Policy as well.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Shipping can vary. Once an order is placed, in-stock products are typically processed within 1-2 business days and then shipped. This is in addition to your estimated shipping time.
Orders including backordered items will be fulfilled once items are back in stock. If you have a back ordered item in your order but need the other items sooner, it is best to place SEPARATE ORDERS. If you have already placed your order, you can email [email protected] to see if we can separate your order.
For estimations, enter your shipping address at checkout and our shipping calculator will provide you with various rates. Please reference our Shipping & Delivery Policy for more information.
What carriers do you use for shipping?
USPS and UPS.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes, we ship internationally! Currently we ship to over 135 countries. If you have any issues during checkout, please email us at [email protected].
My shipping estimate is extremely high. Is there something I can do?
If you utilize our shipping calculator on our website, and the rates seem abnormally high, please request a shipping quote at checkout or email us at [email protected]. Since our system is automated and if an order is too large, it is not always accurate.
How do I request a shipping quote?
When selecting your delivery method at checkout, choose the last option labeled “Custom Shipping Quote.” This will automatically alert our team, who will then reach out via email with the most cost-effective shipping option. You’ll then have 24 hours to accept the quote before it expires. Make sure you CLICK the hyper link to initiate the request.


Can I change my shipping address?
We strive for every customer’s order to arrive quicky and correctly. To help us achieve this, we highly encourage customers to double check their shipping address before placing an order. When shipping address are incorrect or changed last minute, this can delay the processing of an order and shipping costs begin to add up.
If you are unsure if you shipping address is correct, or notice that your address was input incorrectly (we understand, it happens sometimes), please email [email protected] immediately. We will do our best to correct the address as long as the order has not been processed.
For orders that have already been processed and picked up for shipping, altering a shipping address may result in additional fees. If it is a UPS shipment, you can create a “UPS My Choice” account to change the address. If it is a USPS shipment, you will need to wait for the item to be returned back to Ecology Supplies and we will contact you regarding an address change and additional shipping fees.

Where is my order?
You will get a shipping confirmation email after your order has been shipped. Once you receive your email confirmation, you can track your order from there. If you have trouble finding your confirmation email, contact us at [email protected] so we can help confirming your email address.
My package says it was delivered but I didn’t get it. What do I do?
If your tracking information says your package was delivered, but you don’t have it, please do the following:
- Check with everyone in your household and see if it might have been picked up already.
- Ask your neighbors if they may have gotten it by accident.
- Look around at all the entrances of your house, such as a side door, and check for packages that might have fallen off of steps or a porch
- Try talking to your postal carrier and your local post office.
If you still can’t find your package, let us know.
Can I pick up my order in-person?
If you are local to the New Jersey area (NYC and parts of PA), orders can be picked up in-person BY APPOINTMENT. If you would like to inquire about an in-person pick up, please email [email protected].
