Cal Academy Unit Trays

Cal Academy Unit Trays insect pinning system employs 5 rows of unit trays per drawer. Constructed of chipboard covered with white paper, trays feature white  plastazote foam pinning bottoms press fitted with hot melt adhesive. A size 00 insect pin may be inserted easily without forceps and without bending the pin. The foam does not fracture, remains permanently pliable, is unaffected by moisture, and does not rust pins. Essential for proper orientation of specimens in insect drawers, unit pinning trays also are useful for safe handling during transfer work, and provide a secure mounting method for mailing purposes.

Size J, K, L Trays are now 42mm in height as per Cal University suggestion as 35mm in height leads to potential pins breaking.  Size M Trays are still 1-3/8″ high (35mm).
