Pre-cut pinning points, also known as mounting boards, are essential tools in entomology for displaying and preserving smaller insect specimens that cannot be directly pinned. The wider end of the pre-cut point attaches to a pin, while the other end holds the insect securely in place via adhesive, keeping the specimen in a horizontal position (dorsal side up) for optimal visibility.
