Product Updates 02/15/2024

As the days are growing longer, we grow closer and closer to field/growing seasons! Here are the February 2024 updates on production and shipping dates! We are doing our best to be as transparent as possible through these posts on product timelines. If there is anything that you need, please reach out and we can add it to our list of production plans! As always, thank you to the community of people that provide direct product feedback, we would not be able to do this work without you!

New Arrivals

• Czech-based Insect Pins – Pre-Order opens March! In response to some helpful feedback, we are diversifying the pin options offered!

  • This grade will be archival quality with an airtight construction.
  • Cornell style is in production now with other styles to follow.

  • Reminder: Standard Grade Drawers = an economical option for short-term and temporary storage. Our Museum Grade Drawers = specified for long-term collections.

• Bottom filled Collecting Jars – In-Stock and ready to ship! These are made on demand, so expect about a 1 week turnaround prior to being shipped.

Products currently in Production (Estimated Availability Late Winter/Spring 2024)

• Gravid Traps – Taking bulk order requests via email. We have produced samples and have taken careful consideration of feedback from them. We are currently producing these in-house and doing some final tests. We have a backlog of order inquires, so be sure to reach out to hold your spot in line.
• Museum Grade Drawers (Cal/USNM) – Reach out to us if you want the first ones available.
  • This grade will be archival quality with an airtight construction
• Kill Jars – If you need top loaded plastic kill jars and would like to test, reach out.
• Tick Drag/Flag – Made to CDC specifications. Estimated Pre-order in March
• Extra Soft, Close Weave, Medium, Green Aerial Net Bags – Let us know if you would like to test/provide feedback!

Remaining Products in Our 2024 Plans

Thanks to community feedback, here are the remaining products in our 2024 plans: 

• Various trapping systems: Light Traps (Is there anyone that would be willing to share an example?) and Malaise Traps
• Prokopak Aspirators – We are building a sample now and will have it tested accordingly. These will retail at around $400
• Cabinets (Cornell / Cal)- Wood version, open faced but will also add version with a locking door. Email us if you are interested.
• Additional Vial Storage Solutions
• Slide Boxes
